Delighted to see my essay, applying Jim Bendell’s Deep Adaptation Agenda to the field of public relations, published in Public Relations Inquiry. It develops and deepens themes from my book, Depth Public Relations, After the Masquerade (Routledge, 2023), with a particular focus on PR’s contribution to the climate emergency and its potential part in helping organisations and individuals navigate pathways through turbulent times.
Already, there are positive responses from inside and outside the PR field. Noted scholar and practitioner Stephen Waddington highlighted my arguments in a recent post https://wadds.substack.com/p/why-public-relations-practice-must and Justine Huxley of Kincentric Leadership welcomes my inclusion of references to her work and others offering insights from spiritual ecology https://www.linkedin.com/embed/feed/update/urn:li:share:7330893275970613248
Particularly gratifying to leave academic writing with an essay that expresses something of profound importance to me and seems to resonate with others. Now, time to walk the dog.
